The Spazio Emergenti of Radio 6023 – on air everyday from 15 to 16 and from 18 to 19 – has interviewed Nicholas Johnson, American singer and songwriter who talks about his song Shame from his album Shady Pines Vol. 1.
Nicholas Johnson is a nomad musician: from Kentucky to New York and then to Cincinnati (Ohio), to move in the end to Milano, where his songs and his energetic shows has immediately captured the attention of the Italian music scene, in fact he has recently begun a collaboration and a tour with his fellow singer and songwriter Andrea Rock (speaker of Virgin Radio Italy). They met during a gig and they found they have the same passion for Boston Celtics and they realized they are both musicians, so thanks to the passion for the same music and the mutual admiration, they decided to begin this collaboration.
Shady Pines Vol. 1 is an EP with a mixture of fuzz and twang sounds, and talks about finding yourself, even in the middle of your life, because it’s never too late to find what your passions are; it also talks about love, the up and down that love can be and how do you do during adversity. Nicholas Johnson also said that there will be a Shady Pines Vol. 2, produced and realized with the same collaborators of the first volume.
Nicholas said us that “Shame talks about finding some success, joy and finding yourself, because even when you are in the lowest point of your life, you find what is really important to you.”
